EL PASO PUMPING STATION PROJECT

We unloaded a gas turbine and set it aside until proper skid arrived. Meanwhile, we moved several gas turbines via the jack and role method around inside the warehouse to better accommodate any incoming gas turbines.

Once the proper skid came in, we picked the gas turbine we set aside earlier and connected the two. Now the overall weight was about 165,000 lbs so with two cranes, we lifted the entire skid and rotated it partially into the door of the warehouse. The Link-Belt then set its half down onto skates and was cut lose. The Grove rotated just a bit more while the skates rolled the other half until the turbine was almost all the way in the door, the Grove then set its half down onto skates. The turbine was rolled into position with our 30,000 lb forklift.
