Going green by using the power of nature.
This 10 kW sits atop of a 80 foot pole. That provides the power to a 65 and older apartment complex. The 2,300 lb nacelle helps aid the plethora of solar panels that cover the complex. With both forms of green power the 78 unit complex is completely “off the grid.”
This complex in El Paso is the biggest of it’s kind in America. Shown is Juan Narvaiz in the National 26 ton boom truck hoisting the nacelle and operator Bob McPhee in the Manitex 25 ton that is hoisting a fixed man basket. Al Weathers was the territory salesman for this project.
